These days, the #DailyDose is less and less a blog post. It is book building, some of whose rooms I know too well and others not enough.
There is not yet a blueprint.
There are rooms locked and bolted–some even padlocked with a chain. As of yet, I don’t have the tools to open them.
These rooms need more than just a single key but for every room there is a key, the turn unique to each lock.
Rather like a hidden object game, I search for the necessary tools to open each room. Those I least want to visit are a chock-a-block of treasure.
I am not telling stories of treasure hunting. That is history, the past. Mine is to throw open the doors so all rooms are comfortable for sitting on any day.
And if I do my job well, others will want to come and sit, too. To write open a room is book building– its own energy–time-consuming, worth every minute.
Today, I clear my head a bit–a blog post. Aim for Even is a familiar path as is KM Huber’s blog, the two converge to the road that awaits.
I’ll see you soon, not sure just when, maybe tomorrow or weeks from now. I am not completely new to book building but I have never built a book like this one.
Aim for Even posts offer equanimity a dose at a time. No day or dose is ever the same, even if the aim is. You may read about the origins of Aim for Even here or on this site’s About page.
I love that you’re building an AFE book! Thanks so much for sharing your journey here.
